WWL: Connecticut Basement Tapes
Uncovering long forgotten bits of Connecticut sound-history
Coming up, Where We Live, we're talking with Ray Hardman, WNPR's Morning Edition Host and creator of the Connecticut Basement Tapes Project. The concept for the project is simple – it aims to uncover long lost audio gems and bring them to our airwaves here on WNPR. When we say basement tapes--it can mean a lot of different kinds of things: maybe it’s a old bootleg packed away in a box, or a conversation caught on tape, or an audio piece of Connecticut history-- forgotten for years. Coming up, we'll have a listen to some highlights and talk about what's next for the project.
If you have a "basement tape" that you want to share with WNPR listeners, email rhardman@wnpr.org.
