WWL: Indian Ambassador to the U.N.
The Indian Ambassador to the United Nations joins the conversation
There's news this week that in the aftermath of the Mumbai terrorist attacks, the CIA orchestrated back-channel intelligence exchanges between India and Pakistan, allowing the two countries to quietly share highly sensitive evidence - with the U.S. helping things along.
This seems like a positive step toward peace - between two long-time rivals. Nirupam Sen, Indian Ambassador to the United Nations says that the US can't be a formal peace broker between the countries, but he does hold out hope that the U.N. can help establish a better global order.
Ambassador Sen was in Hartford at Trinity College recently, to speak about "Reform of the United Nations.” He spoke to Where We Live last week.
