American teenagers send and receive an average of 2,272 text messages per month. Teens are texting almost 80 messages a day – at school, on the bus, at the mall, and in bed late at night. But what effect is this having on grammar and health… and what does this constant communication mean for the future of our youth? Are they “the dumbest generation” or is it just a fad?
